Pre event notes:
This is an internal training for Hivos’ staff working on the Open Contracting Data programme. The training includes an introduction to Open Contracting: why it matters, and how to promote disclosure and participation across the whole contracting process. The session will include an in-depth dive into the Open Contracting Data Standard (OCDS), and how it can be implemented as part of wider programmes of reform with both governments and civil society intermediaries. The training also includes a session to analyse the scoping studies Hivos and partners have conducted in 15 countries to extract insights on the status quo of public contacting in these countries and on the readiness of government, civil society and other stakeholders to publish and work with Open Contracting Data to improve the public contracting process, efficiency and outcomes: save tax money & time, improve service delivery, boost integrity, and create a fairer business environment.
This workshop is invite only. If you are interested in joining you might contact: email@example.com
