Policy makers and problem owners are increasingly turning to open innovation methodologies combined with data and technology to solve societal problems. Hackathons have long been seen as the default; but what other formats are emerging, and how do we ensure the effectiveness and sustainability of a chosen approach, set against the challenges that developing countries face?
This workshop will bring together civil society organisations, government officials, open data innovation experts, other interested parties to share their experiences as well as analyse different methodologies which support open data innovation in developing countries.The workshop will allow attendees to learn new tools and methodologies to support the future implementation of open data innovation.
